As a UofM Student you have access to Microsoft 365 and OneDrive (cloud storage) from your email account. Login to your email and click on the box in the upper left hand corner of the page to access.




Downloading and Installing Microsoft Office



Proceeding from the above, you can download and install Microsoft Office for free!

Select "Office 365 →".



Then select the button marked "Install Office" on the upper right side of the screen.



Then "Other Install Options"




Then select the language and version and hit install.




Need something else ?



UofM also has OnTheHub that has various software available for download (most for free). Some of the titles of interest to students: LabVIEW and Multisim, but it also has a lot of other stuff.



UofM students also have access to Microsoft Azure which includes many tools for programming and allows you to obtain Windows Operating Systems like Win Server 2019 and Win 10.

Note: To log in use the BLUE Sign In button (as shown below). The others do NOT log you in correctly!



On the left is a menu bar. Click on "All resources" then select Access Student Benifits "Explore" Button on the main part of the screen to get to the "Education | Overview Menu".



From there click on the "Software menu". As shown below:




MatLab



The University of Memphis now has a site licence for MatLab. UofM students are eligible to download and install MatLab products on their personally-owned computers. Goto the The University of Memphis MATLAB Portal to download. You can also access free, self-paced training to get started in less than 2 hours: MATLAB Onramp.

Autodesk



Autodesk, makers of Autocad, Inventor and Eagle Cad, gives students their software for free. See THIS PAGE for details.
